BPL to be officiated by local umpires

Local match officials will be preferred by the authority of the third edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), confirmed by Jalal Yunus, technical committee chairman of BPL.
In a briefing today, Mr. Yunus said, “The matches will be officiated by local umpires and Rakibul Hasan will be the referee. Apart from them we have appointed an umpire from Sri Lanka.”
It is also known that BPL governing body is looking for another foreign match official to serve along with the locals. It can be noted that the first two editions of BPL matches were guided by international foreign umpires from South Africa, England and Australia.
