The logo unveiling ceremony of the BPL team Barisal Bulls was held at a hotel in Gulshan on Tuesday. It was the first official ceremony by any franchisee ahead of the third season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Exiom, the franchisee of the Barisal Bulls, organized the ceremony where they also revealed the theme song of the team. Bangladesh’s one of the most popular singers Asif Akbar voiced on the theme song named ‘Barisal Shamal Shamal’.

During the ceremony, the participation of four foreign players for Barisal Bulls was also officially announced. According to the owners of the team, they have till now registered Chris Gayle, Kevin Cooper, Brendon Taylor and Evin Lewis.

So now it is confirmed that like the first season of the tournament, Chris Gayle, arguably the most popular player of this format of the game, will once again represent the team from Barisal. Gayle also took part in the second season of the lucrative league, but that time he donned for the Dhaka Gladiators.

Rizwan Bin Faruk, the owner of Barisal Bulls, said they are glad to get Chris Gayle in their team. “Gayle is the biggest superstar of T20 cricket. We are very happy to have him in our team.”

Faruk was also quite happy about Graham Ford, who will be coaching Barisal Bulls in this season’s BPL. “He (Graham Ford) is one of the best coaches in the world. He coached Asian giant Sri Lanka for a long time. Now he is with the County team Surrey.”

To be noted, each participating franchisee of the BPL-3 can take 12 foreign players in their team. The “Player By Choice” segment to buy players from the list of drafted local and foreign cricketers. Each franchisee will be allowed to strike deal with maximum 25 players.
