BCB to prepare icon players list for BPL

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will prepare the icon-list of six divisional teams on Monday for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
The BCB will disclose the six icon players’ name in a formal ceremony on December 29.
The current national players will be the icon player for each division, said Sirajuddin Alamgir. “The current national players like Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim will be the icon player for their respective division,” said the member secretary of the BPL Governing Body.
Shakib Al Hasan will be the icon player of Khulna Division while Tamim Iqbal for Chittagong Division. national team captain Mushfiqur Rahim will be the icon player of Rajshahi Division while his deputy Mahmudullah Ryad will be the star player of Dhaka Division. Shahriar Nafees and Alok Kapali are likely to be the icon player of Barisal and Sylhet Division respectively unless the BPL governing body transfers other players in those divisions.
Meanwhile the star foreign players like Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist, Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralitharan, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Saurav Ganguly will arrive in Dhaka before a week to kick-off the money-spinning tournament.
