Ticket price of this year’s BPL will be lower Bpl-logo

The upcoming season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is only 87 days away as the tournament is scheduled to begin on 31 October. Ahead of the tournament the BPL governing council have arranged a meeting on Monday.

According to the BPL Governing Council member Sheikh Sohel, they have decided to lower the price of the tickets for this season as compared to the previous season of the tournament.

“Ticket price will not be higher this year. The price will be affordable for everyone as we want everyone to watch this year’s BPL. Ticket price for normal stands will not be more than 100, 200 or 300. And it is not possible to make it 50 taka as a standard also should be maintained,” said Sheikh Sohel.

To be noted, the lowest price for the tickets in the previous season of the tournament was 200 BDT which was not affordable for most of the people in Bangladesh. As a result, the stands were empty during maximum matches. So if the governing council finally lower the price, it is expected that the gallery will be full of spectators unlike the previous edition of the tournament.
