BCB announces itinery for Afghanistan’s Tour of Bangladesh
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday has announced the itinery for the forthcoming three-match One Day Internationals series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Earlier on Sunday, both BCB and Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) had confirmed the series through different statements.
Through a media release, BCB informed that the Afghanistan cricket team will arrive in Bangladesh on September 21. Upon their arrival in Dhaka, they will have a practice session at National Cricket Academy Ground in Mirpur on the next day (September 22) before playing a warm-up match at the Khan Shahed Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on September 23.
After having another day of practice at the National Cricket Academy Ground on September 24, the visiting team will lock horns with the Tigers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on September 25. The next two games will be held at the same venue on September 28 and October 1.
To be noted, BCB has kept a reserve day for all three matches of the series at the request of the head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe, as the Sri Lankan didn’t want any of the matches to be washed out or abandoned due to rain or any other issue.
